Performances

Dr. Potter is in demand as a soloist and masterclass teacher around the country. She also gives workshops on such topics as "Surviving as a Flutist in the 21st Century," Discovering Alto and Bass Flute," "Solving Rhythm Problems," "Tone Development," "Taming the Third Octave," and "Air Management 101." Her current performance schedule is below.

December 16th, 2007 - The New York Flute Club - 5th Avenue and 55th Street, Manhattan. Dr. Potter was the featured soloist in a recital of music for alto and bass flute, including The Great Train Race by Ian Clarke, Two for Two by Katherine Hoover and Baikal Journey by Catherine McMichael.

April 5th, 2008 - Mesa State College, Grand Junction, Colorado. Dr. Potter will present a full day of workshops and masterclasses and a recital featuring Stone Suite by Sonny Burnette in which Chris will be accompanied by a flute choir from Grand Junction. She will also play Priere et Scherzo by Daniel Kessner and Doina, a Klezmer piece she arranged for E flat flute and piano.

June 1st 2008 - San Diego, California. The San Diego Youth Flute Choirs and the San Diego Flute Guild are sponsoring Chris is a full day of workshops and masterclasses, followed by a recital. She will be accompanied by the flute choirs on the Burnette Stone Suite and the Kessner Priere et Scherzo.

August 7-10 - The National Flute Association Convention - Kansas City, Missouri - Chris will play the Kessner Priere et Scherzo for bass and piano and What Goes Around from Two for Two by Katherine Hoover.

August 21-24 2008 - British Flute Society Convention - Manchester, England. - Chris will present a recital of alto and bass flute music including: Priere et Scherzo by Kessner, the fugue from the A Major Flute Sonata arranged for two altos by Chris, What Goes Around from Two for Two by Katherine Hoover, The Great Train Race by Ian Clarke and two movements of Stone Suite by Sonny Burnette. She will also present an alto and bass techniques class and a warm up class on alto.

October 18th - Hot Springs, Arkansas - Chris will present a full day of workshops and masterclasses culminating in a recital with the Hot Springs Flute Ensemble.
